Fishing Report 9/01/2011:
Despite the heat, the fishing has been really good. June 30th I caught a 7# largemouth on a lipless crankbait. The temp. that evening was 103 at 8:30 pm!
Cat fishing continues to be excellent in Caddo Bay, Caddo Creek, Rock Creek, and Cedar Creek areas. Whole shad, shrimp, liver, and minnows have been working well.
Largemouth bass are good on soft plastics, plastic worms and lipless crankbaits on main lake points, in the creeks and on secondary points.
White bass are excellent in the Caddo Creek, Broadway, and Peanut Patch areas and there are schools now scattering all over the lake. Best baits have been soft plastic shad imitations, small spinnerbaits, and small top water baits.
Striper are slow.
Crappie are good on small jigs, small blade baits, and minnows in Rock Creek and Caddo Creek.

Currently the lake is clear from the upper end to the dam. Visibilities are in the 4-10 foot range and the lake level is approximately 8 1/2 feet  below the 1000 foot level.
